Champagne and Wine List

CHAMPAGNE

NON VINTAGE

Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve – £85 / Half Bt. £43 / Magnum £180
An elegant Champagne, with full and precise flavour, expressing floral notes and delicate aromas of fresh fruit and ripe pears. Recognisable by the finesse of its slow-rising bubbles. Excellent at any time of the day.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Nature – £110
Billecart Salmon’s Brut Nature Champagne is a drier version than entry-level Brut Reserve wine; no sugar is added to the dosage. A pale gold intensity enhanced by clarity of a sparkling, crystalline blend. The nose is complex with seductive aromas of dried fruits, brioche, lemon and floral notes. In the mouth, the wine gives a layered biscuity flavour, white fruits and a striking, mouth-watering minerality to a lip-smacking finish. Pairs beautifully with Sea bass ceviche.

Pol Roger Reserve Brut, Epernay – £90 / Magnum – £190
Extremely elegant and classy. Golden straw in colour, with an abundance of fine bubbles. Pairs perfectly with lobster and natural oysters.

Pol Roger Reserve Pure Extra Brut, Zero Dosage Epernay – £120
The dense golden colour with thousands of tiny bubbles. The nose, fresh and lively, offers an enticing fusion of cloves and rose, gradually developing into hints of toasted breadcrumbs and citrus. Crisp on the palate with an effortlessly long finish, this wine is svelte and shapely.

Telmont, Reserve Brut, Damery – £85
Reserve Brut is the result of a subtle marriage of the three Champagne grape varieties. It is a blend of the wines of seven distinct years, together beautifully balanced, a perfect harmony of richness, fruitiness and freshness. A genuine expression of terroir, a tribute to the excellence and singularity of each year’s harvest. Marked by honeysuckle and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Plentiful in baked fruits; Mirabelle plum with a slight spice on the mid-palate that gives way to a long candied tropical fruit and brisk mineral finish.

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut, Reims – £100
Veuve Clicquot NV is rich, round and complex, and marked with notes of apple, lemon, brioche and hazelnut.

Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial – £95
Consistently good Champagne from perhaps the best-known name in Champagne, this is a beautifully balanced wine with an elegant, long-lasting finish.

Bollinger “Special Cuvée” Brut, AY – £90 / Half Bt. £46 / Magnum £175
With roots in the Champagne region dating back to 1585, Bollinger is one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses. Fresh and toasty with a slight touch of hazelnut.

Pommery Brut Royal, Reims – £90
Essence of the Pommery style: liveliness, freshness, finesse. Small assertive notes of red fruits. A round, rich, delicate wine that lingers in the mouth. A very smooth wine which never wanes on the palate. From 40 selected villages in the Cote des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.

Taittinger Nocturne, Sec, NV – £86
Its pale yellow colour with simmering sparkle, and its subtle, delicate nose reveal delicious aromas of white flowers and rich, notably yellow peaches and dried apricots. The flavour of raisin and fruit in the syrup spread across the palate. The notes in the Nocturne are white flowers, peaches and apricots.

Krug Grande Cuvée Brut, Reims – £355
Indisputably the most majestic non-vintage Cuvée, this is blended from 10 different vintages and 47 wines from 25 villages. The palate is dominated by honey and nuts with graceful acidity and a long finish. Aged 5-7 years on the lees.

BLANC DE BLANCS

Telmont Blanc de Blancs 2013, Damery – £230

Aged with a cork stopper for eight years, this cuvée offers an exquisite expression of Chardonnay. On the nose, aromas of grilled pineapple and fresh lemongrass.

Billecart Salmon Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru – £125
Blend of two different years and has been elaborated from the five Grand Cru vineyards of the Cote des Blancs. Expresses intense dry fruit flavours, along with notes of almonds, hazelnuts & white flesh fruits. Whilst on the nose, this champagne displays delightful buttered brioche and mineral aromas. A perfect balance between delicacy and elegance with a finish that is strengthened by the minerality.

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, Reims – £145
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs embodies the purity of Chardonnay grapes, one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses. Floral nose with notes of white flowers and fruits (white peaches, pineapple). A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, very rounded. It is an excellent complement to seafood and shellfish.

Blanc de Blancs Cuvee la fusionelle, G Richomme, Brut NV – £125

Its bouquet is delicate, elegant and full of finesse with hints of smoke and bread preceding a palate laden with nutty notes, fresh flowers, bright citrus fruit and chalky minerality

Telmont Blanc de Noirs, 2015 – £225
After a hot, dry summer, the harvest was particularly favourable to Pinot Noirs and Meuniers. A beautiful harmony gives this wine its smooth notes, balanced by a delicious crispness with hints of citrus fruit.  Perfect with our ceviche dishes.

ROSE CHAMPAGNE

Drappier, Rose de Saignee Brut, NV – £100
A beautifully balanced style of rose: elegant and full of character. One of the rare Houses producing rose by the saignee method. Several days of maceration give this cuvee an intense colour marked by the Pinot Noir. On the nose, there are hints of red fruits and violet with a lightly spiced note. Receiving only a light dosage, on the palate it is remarkably expressive and extremely fresh, with a subtle trace of liquorice in the finish. The ideal aperitif.

Billecart – Salmon Rose, Brut, NV – £105
Produced using a blend of wines from three separate vintages and includes three different grape varieties: 30% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 30 % Pinot Meunier. The result is a Champagne with a fine, effervescent mousse that offers up flavours of peach and pear, with a hint of raspberry and citrus zest. It is aged on its less for 36 months – adding a creamy texture. The finish is long, with lingering notes of raspberry. Excellent as an aperitif or when paired with seafood.

Telmont Reserve Rose, NV – £110
This exquisite blend of grapes, stemming from four different harvests, showcases its strong personality through a symphony of fruits and a full-bodied, elegant presence. The initial nose reveals fresh red fruits with a touch of brioche. The finish is long-lasting, with notes of ripe Morello cherry. The first Réserve Rosé evokes romance and harmony.

Bollinger Rose, Brut, NV – £115
A recently introduced pink champagne from one of the grandest of the Grandes Marques, Bollinger Rose is particularly fine, fruity & full-flavoured. A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with a tannic finish due to the adjunction of red wine. Bubbles as fine as velvet. A fabulous pink fizz with flavours of wild berries.

Ruinart Rose, Brut, NV – £150
The wine is silky and delicately fleshy & the colour is a delicate pomegranate pink with very slight orange reflections. The nose is fresh and subtle, ripe with cherry and freshly picked red berries, followed by a splash of flowers and spicy notes. As with all Ruinart Champagnes, it is made with a high proportion of Chardonnay giving great finesse and elegance – so characteristic of the Ruinart House.

Dom Ruinart Rose, Reims 1996 – £440
Showing tropical fruit and blood orange, alongside notes of violets and wonderful richness, this is a truly extraordinary champagne. Pairs with sea bass ceviche or grapefruit sorbet.
